The majority of each module is comprised of the instruction guide, which covers concepts to teach, key terms to cover and notes on presentation. Educators may use the guides as provided or adapt them to their own teaching styles.

At the end of each module, students take a quiz and complete a written exercise to test their knowledge of concepts learned. The activities can both be used as a group exercise or as an individual assessment of student learning.
